SRINAGAR: The Department of Health and Medical Education is monitoring the functioning of G.B Pant Hospital Srinagar on sustained basis.With a view to improving health delivery system the government today engaged Dr. Muneer Ahmad Masoodi (Retired Professor and HOD, GMC, Srinagar and Ex-Medical superintendent, SHMS, Hospital Srinagar) as Medical superintendent of G. B. Pant Hospital Srinagar with immediate effect.In the interest of patient care government has also ordered following transfers and postings in the Health and Medical Education department.DR. SRINAGAR: Minister for Medical Education Mr. R S Chib today visited G. B. Pant hospital to take on-the-spot measures for redressal grievances of the patients and their attendants. Minister of State for Health and Medical Education Mr. Javid Ahmad Dar also accompanied the Minister.The Minister gave patients hearing to the attendants and assured them that their genuine grievances would be looked into. He said that better medical facilities would be provided to the children in the hospital. He also assured that the erring official/ officials who would be found careless in the inquiry which is being conducted by the Director, SKIMS Dr. Showket Ahmad Zargar, would be punished.
